5 Dessert-Cup Recipes Simple Enough for Even the Most Hazardous Bakers

I’m going to begin this article by saying that I suck at cooking/baking. I can literally win an award for the worst cook/baker on planet earth. And I’m not exaggerating. Now that I come to think about it, maybe saying this as an intro makes the article less encouraging to read. But if you are still reading then thanks, I highly appreciate it. Even though I’m a terrible cook, I decided to gather DIY dessert cup recipes just for you and your cravings. These are easy (for a normal person), quick and yummy.

Cookie Mug (thank you TikTok)


  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • salt
  • 3 tsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips


  1. In a mug, mix together the egg yolk, melted butter, sugar and a pinch of salt
  2. Add flour, baking soda, and chocolate chips and stir, stir, stir
  3. Put in the microwave for 1 min
  4. Bon appetit

Chocolate Pudding

What you need:

  • 1 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 1/2 cups of milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla 


  1. In a pan, combine sugar, cocoa, salt, and flour. 
  2. Mix, mix, mix
  3. Add milk and whisk.
  4. Stir until boiling
  5. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla
  6. Allow mixture to cool while stirring occasionally to avoid forming a skin on the pudding
  7. Eat

Cheesecake in a Cup

What you need:

For the crust:

  • 3/4 cup digestive biscuit ( crushed into crumbs)
  • 2 tbsp butter

For the filling:

  • 225 g cream cheese (Kiri)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup heavy whipped cream
  • Fresh fruits (toppings)



  1. mix crumbs and melted butter until combined. 
  2. Add 2 tbsp of the mixture into a cup and press on it to form a layer


  1. Whisk cream cheese and sugar (until smooth)
  2. Add vanilla 
  3. Set aside for awhile
  4. Whisk heavy cream until soft (you can use an electric mixer)
  5. Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, then the other half.
  6. Put 1/2 cup of filling into the cup
  7. Add fruits on top

Vanilla Mug Cake

What you need:

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • sprinkles

How to:

  1. In a mug, add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
  2. Stir
  3. Add milk, melted butter, vanilla and sprinkles
  4. Stir, stir, stir
  5. Microwave for 70-90 seconds

S’mores mug 


  • 4 digestive biscuits (crushed into crumbs)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 28 grams of chopped chocolate or chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup marshmallow


  1. Whisk the flour, 2 tbsp crumbs, sugar, baking powder, and salt. 
  2. Add milk and egg and whisk
  3. In a safe mug, microwave for 2 mins
  4. Add the chocolate and microwave until melted
  5. Top with marshmallow

Note: please use a microwave-safe mug and check every few seconds while microwaving to prevent burning your house down (saying out of experience).
